This town is named after the second mountain in the village. Confucius gave lectures here in the Spring and Autumn Period, hence the name Lecture Hall Township. In the early Tang Dynasty, Confucius moved to commemorate the mound. At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, it belonged to Nanhe Xixiang, War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression belonged to Three Districts and Wang Nan Township during the War of Liberation. 1948 belonged to the third district (Gaozhuang) after liberation, and 1956 belonged to Baima River, Lujiaowan and Ciqiu when the district was withdrawn and merged into the city. 1958, the satellite commune was established, and at the end of the same year, it was named Qiuqiu commune. 1984, the sub-hill area was changed to include five townships: sub-hill, Gaozhuang, Baimahe, Lujiaowan and Xiwenkou. 1985 and Ciqiu Township set up an evacuation area. 1997 was changed to Ciqiu Town, with an area of over 70 square kilometers and a population of 75,000.
