Xu Mei Central Primary School was renamed as the Central Primary School directly under Ningbo National High-tech Zone. According to the information of official website of Ningbo Municipal People's Government, its predecessor was Xu Mei Exquisite School, which was founded in the thirty-fourth year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1908). It has been more than a hundred years since the school was founded. 195 1 was taken over by the people's government and renamed as Xu Mei Township Central Primary School. 1988, the new school moved to No.99, Hong Song Road, Xu Mei Street, and Xu Mei Central Primary School was renamed as the Central Primary School directly under Ningbo National High-tech Zone. Xu Mei is a market town, located in the northeast of Yinzhou District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, China, on the south bank of Yongjiang River. It belongs to Qiu Ai Town. Wei Meifu, born in Shouchun, Jiujiang, began in the early years of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Because of his opposition to Wang Shanquan, he abandoned his official position and lived in seclusion here, leading the people to build ponds to protect seedlings and eliminate locusts, with remarkable achievements. He was admired by later generations and enshrined in a temple. Because of its surname Mei and the local market, it was named.
