Many of my relatives and friends' children in rural areas are studying in public schools without extra-curricular counseling, but they can still be admitted to key junior high schools.
In fact, many parents have gone into a misunderstanding on the issue of extracurricular tutoring for their children. In the past, we reported extracurricular tutoring to our children because their academic performance was poor or they didn't learn a certain subject well, but now many parents report extracurricular tutoring to their children, mostly following the trend. Out of anxiety, other parents reported it. Did not report that the child lost at the starting line. Now many parents are out of this mentality.
Not out of necessity, but out of this psychology, it is not good for children's study and physical and mental health. A student with excellent grades can't simply make up lessons outside school. On the contrary, if you make up lessons for your children blindly, you will not only fail to improve your children's academic performance, but also invisibly increase your children's learning burden and put them under great psychological pressure. In the long run, it is very unfavorable for the growth of children.
The view that "studying in a public school, never taking extra-school tutoring, and not being admitted to a key junior high school" is wrong. In fact, studying in public schools, never taking part in extracurricular tutoring, many of them were admitted to key junior high schools. For example, my sister's three children all live in the countryside, and the three children have been studying in public primary schools in the village. They didn't have an off-campus tutor, but all three attended key junior high schools. In fact, whether a child can attend a key junior high school is not simply through off-campus tutoring, but more importantly, the child's usual learning attitude and learning methods. If children study hard at ordinary times, and their learning attitudes and methods are correct, there is absolutely no need to go to extra-school tutoring. Sometimes it will increase children's learning burden and cause mental stress to children, which is not worth the candle.
