First, the required materials:
(1) Children registered in Wuhan:
Admission is based on household registration and real estate counterparts. Parents need to prepare household registration books, real estate licenses and other materials.
(two) children of families in Wuhan:
Parents need to prepare and provide demolition agreement, real estate license, rental agreement and other materials, register at the specified time, and the district education bureau will arrange admission.
(three) for children who are not registered in this city:
Parents need to prepare Wuhan residence permit (required), labor contract (or business license) and other materials that can show that they have legal and stable employment. The education bureau of the district where the residence permit is located makes overall arrangements for admission and is included in the scope of issuance of the Notice.
(four) children of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents living in the Han nationality:
Parents need to prepare Wuhan residence permit (required), labor contract (or business license) and other materials that can show that they have legal and stable employment, and the education bureau of the district where the residence permit is located will make overall arrangements for admission.
(5) College students who have settled down:
We will implement the employment policy for millions of college students in China, and the children of students whose household registration has moved to our city from outside the city can receive compulsory education in our city, and the education bureau in the settled area will arrange for admission. Parents need to prepare household registration book, real estate license/rental agreement and other materials.
Second, the relevant procedures
(1) Online Registration
The registration of primary school freshmen in the city is conducted by the "Wuhan Comprehensive Management Platform for Enrollment of Primary and Secondary Schools", which will be handled online from May 5 to 20.
(2) Check the scope of school counterparts.
According to the distribution of schools in the district, the size of schools, the number of school-age children and adolescents, and other factors, the Education Bureau of each district reasonably arranges the school enrollment plan. On the premise of maintaining basic stability, the service scope of each public school that implements compulsory education will be delineated and announced to the public before May 3 1.
(three) to receive the "compulsory education admission notice"
The "Notice" is uniformly printed, managed and distributed by all districts, and no fees are charged. The "Notice" can take effect only after it is sealed by the District People's Government. All districts should complete the issuance of the Notice before July 3rd.
(4) Go through the formalities of public admission on time.
Parents or other legal guardians of school-age children and adolescents must send their children or ward to the designated school for registration within the time specified in the notice, and the school shall not refuse to accept them for any reason. In 2023, the registration time for compulsory primary schools and junior high school freshmen is July 5 -6.
(v) Registration and enrolment in private schools
1. Any student who intends to choose a private school must first report to the school designated by the government with a notice and go through the formalities.
2. The registration time of private primary schools and private junior high schools in the city is unified from July 7 to 9, and all of them use the "Wuhan Comprehensive Management Platform for Enrollment of Primary and Secondary Schools" to implement online registration. Each student can only apply for 1 school, and repeated registration is invalid. Private schools are not allowed to set other registration qualifications.
