Appreciating teachers is a way for teachers to grow professionally. In the process of my professional growth, although I have never really worshipped a teacher, there is one person who has an important influence on my professional growth. This man is President Zhang of our school. It was President Zhang who took me to the road of studying Chinese teaching and made me a fairly good Chinese teacher.

President Zhang came to this school in September 2006. At first, I was afraid of him. The reason is very simple, because before coming to this school, he was a tour guide in the town and often came to our school for classes. I was afraid of his lectures when I first joined the work, so I was a little in awe of him. After President Zhang came to work in the school, the first thing he did was attend class. At that time, I taught Chinese and math in the sixth grade. I remember once he listened to my math class for several days in a row, and almost all of them pushed through the door without knowing it. After listening, he didn't say anything. To tell you the truth, I feel very uneasy and I don't know what impression I left on him.

In a blink of an eye, it is already the second semester. I remember it was April. The headmaster called me to the headmaster's office and told me to give a Chinese class and participate in the selection of quality classes in the county. I can't believe my ears. Can I do that? Since then, I have had many opportunities to open classes. Especially since 2004, I have to give district-level public classes almost every semester. I want to speak a Chinese class and undertake the task of demonstration class in the district. Perhaps this was the biggest lecture task undertaken by our school at that time. Both the leader and I attach great importance to it. A few days before the lecture, we often talked about not going home until dark. I remember one day, the discussion was late. It's already dark, so I go home by bike. Just then, the telephone rang. As soon as I saw it, it was the headmaster. I think he is on his way now. On the other end of the phone, came his voice. He was very excited to tell me what to do in that class. He called me for fear of forgetting tomorrow. At this time, you can still hear the tractor passing on his road from the phone. He is such a person who is obsessed with scientific research and teaching, and a leader who cares about the growth of young teachers.

After several years of tempering, I have grown into a discipline leader in the district and received the training of key teachers at the municipal level. The reason why I can become an excellent Chinese teacher today is because the persistent spirit revealed by President Zhang's simple actions has infected me. It made me realize that if I want to be an excellent teacher and make a breakthrough in teaching, I must have a selfless work spirit and treat all problems persistently.
